ACC and Wahaha Kick off Rooftop Solar Pipeline

17 January 2017

Beijing, PRC—Jan 17, 2017—Asia Clean Capital (“ACC”) today announced a 3.5-megawatt solar power supply agreement with Wahaha Group for two facilities located in Quzhou, Zhejiang province. Under the terms of the Agreement, ACC will invest 100 percent of the system cost and will undertake the design, construction, and long-term system maintenance.

Electricity from the solar system will be provided to Wahaha at below-grid rates to ensure operational savings throughout the lifetime of the system.

In addition to monetary savings, the 3.5 megawatt solar system will assist in achieving sustainability goals. Over its lifetime, the system will save approximately 82,500 tons of CO2, or the equivalent of 35-million liters of gasoline.

“ACC is honored to begin cooperation with Wahaha Group on rooftop solar PV projects,” said Thomas Lapham, CEO of ACC. “Wahaha Group is the largest Food and Beverage manufacturer in China with over 80 production bases across the country. Our firms will initiate the solar program for two Wahaha manufacturing bases in Zhejiang province first, anticipating tremendous potential to expand cooperation nationwide in the future.”
