As one of the leading companies in skin care field, NIVEA is constantly working towards reducing its consumption of water, energy and scarce raw materials in production and sales. The solar project adapts self-consumption model. Electricity from the solar system will be provided to NIVEA Shanghai at competitve rates to ensure operational savings throughout the lifetime of the system.
In addition to monetary savings, the system will make significant contribution to the local ecological environment. The system is expected to reduce approximately 12.3 tons of SO2, 19,652 tons of CO2, and 36,683 tons of water consumption in the contract term.
